Stan may be gruff…

but he’s mostly a big softie

From fishing with the kids

To crying when he lost his statue

To getting emotional over a TV show

To hugging the twins

To feeling sad about his once lost brother

To thinking about his lost love Carla McCorkle

To feeling guilty and ending up rescuing Waddles for Mabel

To feeling sad about the kids leaving

To feeling guilty about the cow and agreeing to rescue him

To giving Mabel a sticker

To pouring his heart out about his innocence

To wanting to hug his brother

To apologizing to Dipper

To almost crying when the twins consider him a hero

To giving out noogies

To punching Bill for his family

To petting Waddles and laughing with his family

To hugging Ford

To crying about the twins leaving and missing them

Such a softie ❤

teaching children that they are allowed to walk away and cool off if they are feeling overwhelmed might literally save their life as teens/adults

I am a preschool teacher.

This is my “alone zone.”

At any time of the day, if my kids are feeling stressed, they can go here to cool down. There’s stress toys, silly putty, bubbles, sensory bottles…there’s books and headphones to block out the loud noises.

The only thing they have to do is “check in” by putting their picture on which emotion they’re feeling so I know how I can help them when they’re ready.

Kids. Need. Space.

Kids. Need. Coping. Mechanisms.

Not. Time-outs.

And the sooner we as adults teach them that, the better off they’ll be as they grow.

@ all my shittily developed adult pals, if someone is walking away to cool off, kindly dont follow them and continue to harass them

Every time I talk to my roommate I feel my pineal gland calcify and my third eye close a little bit more

Last night she asked me how many days there are in a year and I said “why do you not know that?” and she said “why the fuck would I need to know that?”

She’s getting ready for work rn while listening to the Carrie Underwood song from the Super Bowl at full volume

She keeps hanging this shit up around the house

Last night she was telling me about a car accident she was in years ago and she said they had to use the “jar of live” and I was like. Do you mean the jaws of life and she said “you don’t know what the jar of life is?”

She’s sitting next to me scrolling through a facebook meme page scream laughing and showing me literally every post and saying “what’s wrong? Are you okay” if I don’t laugh hard enough

We’re at her dads house it looks like this

This is like the straight equivalent of Get Out
